"i'm a jet pilot..."

woke up on a couch in wicker park in chicago. bruised. exhausted. ears ringing.

took the train to midway. running out of time, ran through airport. flight ended up delayed 2 hours. walked zombified through the terminals looking at chicago shirts, shot glasses, etc. bought my mom a magnet. one for my apt too. recognized kids from the show checking in for other flights. read the "burning fight" book that i ended up with after holding it for a ny friend. loaned it out on the flight.

i'm pretty much a professional at how to kill time in airports. for someone who doesn't travel for work.

detroit airport on 4th of july for about 15 hours.

gatwick airport for 10 on my last day of vacation.

jfk for hours and hours during a snowstorm. that one was the worst. everyone sleeping on the floor. no room to walk. a fire alarm that kept going off. people ready to fight pilots and flight attendants. (but at least that time i could go home and give up.)

"i'm a jet pilot
never sit still..."
