i haven't been to a baseball game in months.called home to wish my dad a happy birthday today.
(he's not the kind of dad you go to baseball games with.)
interrupted a family bbq that i didn't know was going on.
got to talk politics with my drunken irish family for 5 seconds.
wished i was there.
the grass is always greener...
the astroturf is always greener...
i better go to a game before shea closes.
my sister will be down to oogle david wright with me.
she'll be here, along with my dad, in 12 or so hours.
back for her last semester of college.
let the countdown begin...
for n.r.
you better wear a mets yarmulke at your wedding!
"we need to take
a few steps back back back back
yeah
soak in all these half-truths
half used by our eyes
we need to find ourselves
again
i wouldn't feel so tattered
in a less important place..."
